If you have taken a breathalyzer and this is the first arrest for DWI, NY DMV may allow you tak obtain a conditional license to drive to and from work,school and the doctor's office. The most imprtant thing to keep in mind is that these licenses are revocable if you are charged with a minor traffic offense, like no seatbelt. It is very impprtant to obey all traffic laws when you receive your conditional license and make sure that your keep it.
The fee is $75 and is payable to DMV. You must however wait 30 days from the date of arrest to be eligible for the conditional license.
